Chaung Tha Beach is located 40 km to the west of Pathein (Bassein) in Ayeyarwaddy Division. About 6 hours drive from Yangon by public transport. It is about 139 miles from Yangon. Chaung Tha Beach is striking in their natural and unspoiled beauty; both local and foreign visitors like to relax there. Kyaiuk-pa-hto is a large rock that has been carved into a cave shrine. Two islands can be seen offshore, Thae Phyu and Pho-ka-lar.
